Serving a decade, as a military photojournalist, provided me with the unique experience of capturing major national disasters. In doing so, I developed an eye for capturing details and stories in an impactful way.
Today I bring that same skill to your wedding day. Capturing every single detail of your day - from your earrings and shoes to the special people and emotional moments - and all with unique lighting, angles, and points of view.
Unlike other photographers, who talk to you once, have you fill out a questionnaire, and show up to shoot, I make sure we cultivate a real relationship long before your wedding day.
From an engagement session (where you'll arrive nervous, and leave feeling like a model) to the 3-4 times we'll meet to connect before your wedding, you'll have professional support throughout. Rather than just "another vendor", I'll feel more like a friendly confidant. And we'll actually have fun!
Learning your personalities, your stories, and dynamic together allows me to make sure you feel comfortable and photograph your day in a more personal way. I do this not only because you deserve to receive quality service, but to make sure you truly enjoy your day, take it all in, and have epic photographs to remember it by.

He was very thorough in his approach, his catalog was amazing, and what struck us the most was his passion for not only photography but people also.
The unique and cinematic style you see in my portfolio comes from attending film school and learning the technical expertise to capture beautiful colors, unexpected effects, and the true art of storytelling.
Now, with 17 years experience as a professional photographer and filmmaker, I love the challenge of using any surrounding or scenario your wedding day brings. And turning it into a gallery and film filled with the best stills and scenes, in front of vibrant sunsets or glowing evenings, that tell the story of your day in a meaningful and original way.
I've been doing this a long time, but I don't take myself too seriously. I'm going to capture everything you want and more. But at the end of the day, it's your wedding day. It's about having fun. Enjoying it. So consider me a member of the family. We'll laugh and joke, and because I'm a dad you'll get some pretty bad puns.
A few more fun facts:
I love adventure and the outdoors. I do about 3-5 miles on a wedding day.
Japan with my wife.
When I'm editing photos (with our dog Buckley - he likes to press the delete button), my daughter will come in. See the bride and say, "Woah Daddy, it's a Princess!"
It's always a new day. A fresh start.
Aim for your best. Learn from failures.
Move forward. Get better.
Seeing my wife walk down that aisle.
My dad was the best man.
It couldn't have been better.
